Indian Land Homes

The community of Indian Land begins at the South Carolina state line where Charlotte’s Ballantyne community ends. Indian Land is part of Lancaster County and has outpaced the growth of Charlotte, one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, according to the U.S. Census. While Charlotte grew 43% from 2000 to 2014, the population in Indian Land, just south of Charlotte’s affluent Ballantyne neighborhood, soared 209%, more than tripling in size. The demand for Indian Land is evidenced by the fact that nearly 46% of Lancaster County’s 79,515 residents in 2014  were born outside of South Carolina. Indian Land is also quickly becoming a corporate “headquarters destination.”
