The Town of Pineville in Mecklenburg County is much appreciated for its central location -- 14 miles from Uptown Charlotte, 5 miles to Ballantyne, and 7 miles to Charlotte's South Park area. It provides easy access to primary local roads (South Boulevard, Pineville-Matthews Road, and I-485 and I-77, as well as to Charlotte-Douglas Airport.

And if you're in need of "retail therapy" you're minutes from Carolina Place Mall and Pineville's historic Main Street with its quaint shops and boutiques. Pineville is also home to Carolinas Health Center and its hospital in Pineville. 

Two parks--Pineville Lake Park and Jack Hughes Park--and the Belle Johnston Community Center offer a variety of programs to satisfy a myriad of recreational needs, including  cheer leading, self defense, volleyball, day trips, theatre, adult softball and basketball, summer camp, Rockin’ & Reelin’, and an annual Fall Festival.

A town of about 6 square miles and approximately 8,500 residents, Pineville was incorporated in 1873 and named for the large, abundant pines that cast their shadows over the community and was originally known as a mule trading center. Pineville is the birthplace of President James K Polk. 

Movoto named Pineville the "best suburb in Charlotte for young professionals" and Nerd-Wallet named it the the "best place to start a small business."
