Charlotte is home to North Carolina’s largest Jewish population. In fact, Charlotte is home to the largest Jewish community in the Carolinas. This means the Greater Charlotte offers a wonderful selection of celebrations for the Hanukkah festival this month.
Hanukkah is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers, food, games. COMPLETE HANUKKAH GUIDE. In 2023, Hanukkah begins on the evening of Thursday, December 7th and ends on Sunday, December 14th.
