BEER BOURBON & BBQ FESTIVAL: MAY 18
Charlotte’s Annual BEER BOURBON & BBQ FESTIVAL is back for its 17th year this Saturday, May 18th at Ballantyne’s Backyard. You’ll enjoy a day of beer sippin’, bourbon tastin’, music listenin’, cigar smokin’, and barbecue eatin’ while listening and dancing to live Bluegrass and Rock music! CHEERWINE FESTIVAL: MAY 18
Did you know Cheerwine was invented in 1917 in Salisbury, North Carolina? Cheerwine is a cherry-flavored soft drink manufactured by Carolina Beverage Corporation in Salisbury. The first Cheerwine Festival took place in 2017 to celebrate its 100th anniversary. It’s been a popular annual festival since in Salisbury, which is less than an hour away from Charlotte. Over the years, the Cheerwine Festival has grown to include most of downtown Salisbury. The family-friendly festival features live entertainment from local and national bands, Cheerwine-inspired food and drinks, 120+ food and beer vendors, crafts, rides and lots and lots of Cheerwine to drink. Admission is free. Hours are Noon till 10:00 PM.
PINEVILLE ARTS IN THE PARK FESTIVAL: MAY 18
Pineville’s 3rd Annual Arts In The Park Festival takes place on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 AM till 6:00 PM at Lake Park, located at 1000 Johnston Drive in Pineville. You’ll enjoy some 70 art exhibitors, food trucks and live entertainment.
THE SECRET GARDENS OF FOURTH WARD: MAY 18 & 19
Friends of Fourth Ward in Charlotte is hosting their annual Secret Gardens of Fourth Ward, an urban garden and lifestyle tour in Charlotte’s Uptown on Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th from Noon until 4:00 PM. This is a walking, self-guided tour that includes food and cocktail tastings at gardens and restaurants in Fourth Ward. The tour will also highlight public art and historic homes, as well as live music. The Secret Gardens tour includes admission to private and communal gardens, Fourth Ward Park, the historic Elmwood Pinewood Cemetery, and the historic McNinch House Restaurant in a Victorian home. CAROLINA BARKFEST 2024: May 18
The 3rd Annual Carolina Barkfest-LKN takes place Saturday, May 18th from 11:00 AM till 3:00 PM. Carolina Barkfest-LKN, hosted by Langtree Lake Norman, is located just off exit 31 on I-77 at 150 Landings Drive in Mooresville. You’ll enjoy browsing selections from some 25 vendors offering local dog product and services. There will also be vendors offering jewelry, clothing, candles. Pups and their parents will be able to enjoy the tent for canine and human treats and drinks. The Piedmont Animal Rescue will be present, as well, where you can learn about fostering or adopting an animal.
