Whether you have a four-legged companion or just love being around dogs, Charlotte’s Dog Jog has something for everyone! Choose between a 5K run
on one of the Southeast’s most renowned cross-country courses or a relaxed one-mile walk/jog—both are perfect for all ages and fitness levels. This year’s Dog Run slogan is “Run Like A Dog.”
The Charlotte Dog Jog takes place at McAlpine Creek Park located at 8711 Monroe Road in Charlotte. McAlpine Creek Park is 114-acre county park with a lake and fishing pier, dog park, soccer fields, bike and hiking trails.
Charlotte Dog Jog 2025 Event Highlights:
🐾 Race on a famous Cross-Country Course – Take on the Larry McAfee Course at McAlpine Creek Park, an excellent route for competitive runners and casual joggers alike.
🐾 Meet Adoptable Dogs – Looking to expand your family? Adorable pups will be on-site, ready to find their forever homes!
🐾 Enjoy Delicious Treats – Start your morning with fresh coffee and doughnuts to fuel your run or stroll.
🐾 Win Cash Prizes – The top three finishers in the 5K—both with and without dogs—will take home cash prizes! First place wins $125, second place $75, and third place $50.
