Ballantyne real estate October 2019 remained a seller’s market.. Both median and average home prices were up, days on market were down, new listings and inventory were also down. Months supply of inventory was sharply down compared with October 2018 — down 1.2 months.

Average Ballantyne home sale prices increased 6.3% in October 2019 compared with the same month one year ago. Home sellers received 97.7% of list price in final sale price. October was the fifth consecutive month we saw an increase in home sale prices.


Ballantyne homes continue to sell quickly with Median Days on Market just 14 days, down 7 days compared with one year ago. Average Days on Market were down by one day compared with one year ago at 35 days. Average Price Per Square Foot increased by $4/square foot to $151 in October 2019 compared with one year ago.


Closed sales increased 11%, while pending sales were up 26.8% in October year-over-year in the Ballantyne area.


Ballantyne’s months supply of homes remained low at 1.6 months (down from 2.8 months one year ago and 1.8 months in September 2019). This coupled with a 38.4% drop in housing inventory and a drop of 26.1% in new listings in October kept Charlotte’s Ballantyne area/28277 zip code housing market a seller’s market.
